CAPACITY is a dashboard that lets you draw capacity zones on a floorplan and connect them to your own Verkada organization's cameras, LPR zones, occupancy trends, and operational dashboards, so you can see live occupancy and post breach alerts to Verkada Helix.
When you create an account, we store your email, your site/floorplan/zone configuration, and — if you choose to add one — your Verkada API key. Your Verkada API key is encrypted at rest and is never sent back to any browser once saved; only the server uses it to talk to Verkada's API on your behalf.
Your site and floorplan data is private to your account unless you explicitly publish it (a feature available only to the operator's own admin account, used to curate the public example anyone can view without signing in).
You are responsible for the scopes and permissions granted to any API key you provide, and for complying with your own agreements with Verkada. CAPACITY only uses your key to make the specific API calls this app's features require (listing cameras/zones/dashboards, reading occupancy and queue data, and posting Helix events if you enable that).
CAPACITY is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. It is not a life-safety or emergency-notification system — capacity thresholds and alerts are informational and should not be relied on as a sole means of ensuring occupant safety.
